The zoning board of appeals is a quasi-judicial body. It principally hears and decides all questions that arise in administration of the zoning ordinance. The zoning boards of appeals makes interpretations of the zoning ordinance, hears variance requests, hears appeals from administrative determinations by zoning officials or bodies, and other matters assigned by the zoning ordinance. A zoning board of appeals may also hear appeals from special land use and planned unit development decisions, but only if provided for in the zoning ordinance.
The Township Zoning Board of Appeals meets upon request with dates and times published and posted as needed.
